My aim as a personal trainer is to make goals achievable and enjoyable for everyone using varied techniques because no two clients are the same, while improving your knowledge of fitness, techniques and improving lifestyle choices to create a better version of yourself.

When The Pulse opened, my intention was to encourage the older generations to use and enjoy the gym along with all the other facilities offered here at The Pulse. My passion is improving people’s lives through exercise, enabling them to have a fuller life outside the gym.
I specialise in cardiac rehab and cancer recovery, both pre- and post-remission, and weight loss and nutrition. I like to concentrate on balance and strength in my sessions, as I feel these are very important areas. Personal training is one of the most rewarding jobs on the planet, and I love seeing my clients achieve more than they ever thought possible!
I bring the experiences of supporting my family to develop healthy lifestyles and my own journey through high level competitive rowing (and managing a few injuries along the way) to my work as a personal trainer. Sport and exercise has always been my passion and one of my great delights comes from helping others reach their health, wellbeing, fitness or performance goals. It is fantastic to see people achieving things they previously thought weren’t possible.
I’m especially interested in helping older age groups – it’s never too late to begin your journey or move things up a level and reap the benefits!
I have a huge passion for sports performance and events that challenge individuals and push them beyond boundaries that they thought they'd never reach. For me, keeping yourself fit and training up for physical goals is what keeps life fun and exciting.
In 2018 I seriously injured my leg which led me to require surgery. I am currently on my own specific rehabilitation programme, which is proving long and difficult at times, but it has provided me a great understanding of what people go through with injuries and the various barriers to exercise.
From a young age, I’ve had a passion for all sports. I was very much an all-rounder. I represented school, college and University in football, hockey, cricket and a little rugby. I graduated from University of Wolverhampton in 2003 in Sport Studies, where I learnt and practiced a great deal in regards to sport, health and fitness.

From a young age, I had a love for dancing & danced for a company in my late teens. As I got older, my interest turned to overall fitness. After having my beautiful children, I put on a considerable amount of weight which effected my health negatively. Whilst on my own weight loss journey, it became apparent that I loved helping people not only to lose weight but to get back into fitness and to achieve their weight loss goals. I love to see peoples reaction’s when they achieve their own personal goals. I believe that exercise should be fun & enjoyable and will provide you with encouragement throughout your journey to keep you motivated.

Aj specialises in strength and conditioning and weight loss.
He is also a strongman specialist having competed in several competitions himself.
Aj's other passion when he is not in the gym is Lego, he also really dislikes having his photo taken.

I am a motivational fitness instructor – I can offer gym based exercise plans. I can also teach safe practices while my clients are getting fit. I will give enthusiastic encouragement in order to keep them motivated. I can design individual training plans using all gym based exercises so that they feel at ease and confident in their training.

I work with clients who want to lose weight and tone, gain muscle, get stronger, fitter, faster and more mobile. I have a strong background of athletic training and have used these skills to train many clients with sport-related goals and write in-depth plans for all abilities.

I have always had a passion for sport and fitness from a young age when I played rugby and football for my local teams. My interest in working out began when going to the gym for rehab sessions due to recurring knee injuries. Although this didn’t solve the issue, I saw big improvements in other aspects of my health and wellbeing, which in turn began to motivate and inspire me to become a personal trainer. Furthermore, I do find it very rewarding to help someone who wants to improve themselves and achieve their own goals.
