Wellbeing Workshop: Managing the Return to School

Workshops - 3 September 2022

If your family is dreading the return to school after a long summer, our wellbeing workshop with Mandy Johnson will arm you with the tools you and your children need to feel calmer and more relaxed during the school day.

3 September 2022
Cost: £6 per family

Mindfulness is scientifically proven to help relax, distress and reduce anxiety. In this workshop, Mandy will teach you and your child how to be mindful and introduce you to meditation through stories.

Throughout the session, you’ll learn strategies that engage mind and body with breath activities to reduce stress and promote health and wellness.

Practicing mindfulness has many benefits, helping children learn to focus, regulate their emotions, manage stress and create a positive outlook. It also promotes gratitude, patience and kindness. Molly Monkey will also make a guest appearance!

This workshop is ideal for infants, young children and their families. To book, call our team on 01453 546441.

"The whole school took part in well-being day today and we were lucky enough to have our own little workshop with the wonderful Miss Johnson who guided us through some simple breathing exercises to help us feel calm and relaxed. We were astounded as adults to observe how focused and engrossed the children were at doing this. They could recognise times when it would be useful to use these techniques “when you’re grumpy, sad or angry”. Some were keen to teach adults at home". Slimbridge Primary School
